A Deck You'll Actually Use Built for Gulf Coast Weather
We build, repair and refinish wood and composite decks for homes in Port Charlotte and across the surrounding Gulf Coast.
A look at the deck work we handle most.
A new deck built to Florida wind code, from footings to rail.
Soft boards, a loose rail or a sagging frame, fixed before it gets worse.
A fresh coat that keeps the sun and rain from winning.
No sanding, no re-staining, just a deck that holds its color.
Multi-level decks, built-in seating and stairs drawn up before we cut a board.
A deck around the pool that stays cool underfoot and doesn't get slick.
We build new decks, fix old ones and put a fresh stain coat on decks that have gone gray in the sun. Most of the people who call us have a deck that's sagging in one spot, a railing that wiggles, or boards that have gone soft underfoot. You've probably noticed it getting worse each rainy season and you're wondering if it's a quick fix or a full tear-out. That's usually the first thing we figure out on-site, before any talk of price.
We pull up a board or two and check the joists and ledger before we quote anything, because rot spreads underneath long before it shows on top. If the frame is sound we resurface over it. If the ledger bolts or hangers have rusted out from years of humidity, we replace that structure first so the new decking has something solid to sit on. That's the part a lot of quotes skip, and it's the part that decides whether the deck is still tight in five years.
Based in Port Charlotte and working the towns around it.
Not on the list? Give us a call anyway. We are often working nearby.
Most of our work comes from someone telling a neighbor about us. Here is why that keeps happening.
Licensed and insured, so you're covered if something goes wrong.
We pull the permits and build to Florida wind code.
We haul off the old lumber and sweep up the screws.
You get a written quote before any work starts.
We show up when we say we will and keep the job moving.
Based nearby, so we know what Gulf Coast weather does to a deck.
Had two boards going soft near the steps out in Port Charlotte. They found the joist underneath was rotted too and swapped it out instead of just covering it up.
Deck looks almost new again. They had to push the start back a week for rain but kept me posted the whole time.
We're out past Englewood and wanted something that wouldn't burn bare feet. The composite boards around the pool stay cool even in July.
